Been thinking about
leadership a lot lately. Wondering what is it that sets
apart great leaders from the average leaders?
All around me I see the
need for great leaders. While many people may have leadership qualities, it's interesting reading up on what others think about leadership. I'm sure we have come across those who are
not great leaders. Maybe we're even being led by some of them right now.
However, every once in awhile, you come across attributes that should
mark a great leader ...
Leadership is ultimately about creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen. ~ Alan KeithOutstanding leaders go out of the way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it is amazing what they can accomplish. ~ Sam WaltonLeadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.~ Dwight EisenhowerThe very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. You can't blow an uncertain trumpet. ~ Theodore M. HesburghI think I agree with what
Catalyst said about leadership -->
Leadership is influence. Are you a leader? Do you
influence those around you? What do you think makes a great leader? And do you feel
compelled to lead? Or are you satisfied with being a
follower?
